EPic Pot = Eglė Pakšytė’s creative work.
I am a REAL person 😉
Based in Lithuania, Vilnius. I was born here and have lived here ever since.
I‘m a ceramic sculptor with a deep love for all things wild and wonderful, domesticated or mythical.
Epic Pot is the mastermind behind a blend of global mythology, intertwined with hints of ancient Egypt, Etruscan, Baltic, Scandinavian art, and the timeless beauty of Greek antiquity.
So, welcome to the realm of creative wonders and mythical marvels that is my = Epic Pot’s world.
Bio
Lithuanian ceramic sculptor and painter, creates sculptures, medium-large, medium, and small scale, working in highfire stoneware as a primary medium, using different clay bodies, slips, porcelain, and glazes.
Paintings and drawings – creates medium-large scale, expressive and colourful, figurative and semi-abstract compositions.
Her work centers on mythology and archetypes.
She earned her degrees at Vilnius Arts‘ Academy, 2006, MA, and Lithuanian Health Sciences University, Veterinary Academy, 2022, Master’s in veterinary medicine. The member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Union since 2020.
Her childhood and school year summers in the countryside, daily connection with farm animals, and later on, the years of participation in the reconstructional archaic crafts camps and the years of working at the International Ceramic Research Center as a woodfire technician inspired her direction in making sculpture and sharpened her skills in archaic hand building and firing techniques. As well as the years of studying veterinary medicine deepened the perception and admiration of the perfection of Nature and Animal Kingdom, encouraging her to return to making art and dive in way deeper, than before, digging into the layers of human consciousness, subconsciousness, and archetypes.
She has exhibited widely in her home country Lithuania with additional personal and group shows in Denmark as well as group shows in Europe ( Estonia, Ireland, United Kingdom, Finland).
Artist Statement
My sculptures are born from the timeless wellspring of mythology and archetypes, which I believe remain eternally valid and alive in our contemporary world.
Influenced by ancient stories and global cultures, I draw inspiration from the shapes, mastery, and visual solutions of Greek, Egyptian, Etruscan, and Gothic art.
Employing hand-building techniques predating the invention of the throwing wheel, each piece is a personal technical and psychological exploration, reflecting my passion for animals and innovation. Shaping clay through ancient pottery methods, as well as through ancient myths I aim to provoke thought and evoke emotion.
My work speaks uniquely to each viewer, echoing Carl Jung’s belief in shared experiences amidst individuality. When you encounter my artworks, consider the depths they reveal within you.

2000 – 2006m. VDA, keramikos specialybė, menų magistro laipsnis. Bakalauro ir magistro laipsnių baigiamųjų darbų vadovas prof. Juozas Adomonis;
Nuo 2000 m. dalyvauju individualiuose ir kolektyviniuose, kūrybiniuose ir gamybiniuose projektuose (CineFX, ArtBox, Art Projects, Hipė – dekoracijų gamyba reklamai, filmams, serialams).
Nuo 2009 menininkų grupės „balti“ narė
2012 – 2015m. dirbau atmosferinių (medis, dujos) degimų technologu ir kūriau Tarptautiniame keramikos tyrimų centre, Danijoje (International Ceramic Research Center Guldagergaard, Skaelskor, Dk).
Nuo 2020 LDS narė ir meno kūrėjo statusas.
2016 – 2022 studijos LSMU Veterinarijos Akademijoje, veterinarinės medicinos magistro laipsnis.
